VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its growing team in the Pacific Northwest. VAST is a data platform company for the AI era, building enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor responsible for multiple dimensions of customer success and product development. You will assist customers with evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations. Working closely with VAST's R&D Engineering team, you will help define product requirements and usability, including creating product specification documents. You will participate in developing sales strategy and tactics while owning technical responsibilities within customer accounts.
You will demonstrate technical leadership and deep subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings across DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces. A key responsibility is creating architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to the customer community. You will also help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers, and consult on forming, building, and managing a Support organization.
