VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its infrastructure team. The company is building the data platform for the AI era, providing enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference. The platform is designed to simplify AI deployment and management across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
In this role, you will be a key technical contributor during a pivotal growth phase. Your responsibilities include:
• Assist customers with evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations
• Work closely with R&D Engineering to define product requirements and usability, including creating product specification documents
• Participate in sales strategy and tactics, owning technical responsibilities within customer accounts
• Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN spaces
• Create architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to customers
• Help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers
• Consult on forming, building, and managing a Support organization
This is a hybrid technical and customer-facing role that bridges engineering, sales, and support functions. You will influence product direction while driving customer success and building organizational capabilities.
