Suno is the fastest-growing consumer entertainment company and leader in AI music, backed by top-tier investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, IVP, and NVIDIA Ventures. The company is building a creative platform enabling millions of users—from casual creators to Grammy winners—to make music using AI.
You will join the AI Operations Engineering team as a Senior / Staff Software Engineer, owning direction and architecture for internal tools and systems. Suno is scaling rapidly, and this team's mission is to unlock growth across operations areas (music ops, support, legal, finance) by building workflows, intelligent agents, and tooling that enable non-engineering teams to operate more efficiently without proportional headcount growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and build AI agents, workflows, and custom tools that empower non-engineering stakeholders to handle complex tasks independently
- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and platforms, making strategic build-vs-buy decisions
- Contribute to and extend Suno's self-service app deployment platform
- Design and implement new patterns for internal APIs, authentication, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, extending beyond the Django monolith
- Integrate and scale customer experience systems built around platforms like Zendesk
- Partner cross-functionally with customer experience, legal, finance, people, and content operations teams to identify and solve operational challenges
This is a 0→1 role in an early-stage problem space where you'll have significant ownership and impact. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with high standards for quality and a team deeply committed to building something millions use daily.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must-Haves:
- 5–7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Proven track record building, maintaining, and supporting internal tooling or systems that streamline engineering or business operations
- Eagerness to learn and share agentic coding best practices and tools
- Ability to thrive in early-stage, 0→1 environments where the problem space is still being defined
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph)
- Familiarity with eval or observability tooling (e.g., LangSmith, Braintrust)
- Background with support tooling, CRM systems, or workflow automation platforms
Note: The posting encourages applications even if you don't check every box.
