Moveworks, now part of ServiceNow, is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the Agentic AI Harness & Quality team. This role focuses on advancing the frontier of AI agents that can reliably perform work at scale.
You will contribute to the evolution of the Moveworks AI Assistant platform across multiple technical areas including agent orchestration, sandboxed file systems and code execution, latency optimization, agent memory, LLM self-reflection and improvement, execution environment simulation, enterprise knowledge graphs, and multimodal I/O.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking on complex engineering challenges to build and evolve capable, reliable AI agent systems
- Implementing frontier AI algorithms and architectures and productionizing them at scale
- Leveraging latest advances in machine learning, LLMs, and AI agents to enhance products and user experiences
- Contributing to roadmap and driving evolution of engineering areas with growing scope and impact
- Writing robust, extensible, readable, and performant code
- Partnering with subject matter experts across machine learning, security, product, UX, and customer success
- Mentoring other engineers on building, maintaining, and evolving great software
- Collaborating with machine learning engineers to build world-class AI systems
The team indexes on moving fast on scalable infrastructure, solving challenging product and engineering problems, and pushing the envelope of customer value. You'll have access to best-in-class LLMs from providers like OpenAI and work alongside a bright, dedicated, impact-driven team.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience designing, building, and improving production systems, ideally at scale
- Ability to think and communicate clearly about complex engineering problems and systems
- Comfort giving and receiving feedback and holding yourself and coworkers accountable to high operational excellence standards
- Readiness to work in Mac development environment, programming in Python, Golang, and/or Java
- Desire to ship at startup pace with high degree of ownership
- Attention to detail and drive to ship product improvements with production-grade code
- Strong appetite for continuous incremental wins and completing challenging projects fast
- High curiosity about engineering outside immediate discipline with ongoing desire to learn and stay at cutting edge of applied AI
