Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) operates a global portfolio of lifestyle hospitality brands focused on creating places and experiences that bring people together. The company designs, develops, and operates hospitality-driven destinations to host gatherings ranging from small corporate meetings to immersive brand activations. We are hiring Senior and Staff Product Engineers to join our Technology team. In these hands-on, full-stack roles, you will work across our brand portfolio to design, build, and modernize our tech stack—from client-facing digital experiences to the internal operating system that runs our business. We have openings at both levels and will align the title and scope to your experience. You'll join a small, sharp team that solves real business problems with whatever works best, whether that's AI, custom code, or intelligently integrated enterprise systems. Though early in adopting AI-driven development, we're building an AI-first engineering team and want engineers who will help us get there. Key Responsibilities: - Build end-to-end features across front end, back end, APIs, business logic, and data layer, from ideation to production, measuring and continuously improving. - Design how systems fit together across brands, apps, and enterprise tools like Salesforce and NetSuite; build integrations while handling client, employee, and financial data with security, privacy, and compliance in mind. - Break ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and reviewable units of work for humans and AI agents. - Use AI agents across research, prototyping, implementation, testing, refactoring, and documentation, verifying their output. - Contribute to architecture, technology choices, and development patterns built to scale with the business. - Introduce and refine AI development practices, tools, and workflows; help teammates adopt them. - Improve the codebase through tests, monitoring, documentation, and architecture patterns that scale. - Partner with product, design, and engineering to clarify requirements and explain trade-offs; participate in code review, pairing, onboarding, and mentorship. Requirements: - 6+ years of experience engineering production software (Senior level) or 9+ years with cross-system architecture ownership (Staff level). - Solid understanding of relational data, including SQL, schema design, transactions, and migrations; comfortable with modern data platforms (warehouses, pipelines). - Build with quality and security in mind: testing, accessibility, input validation, authentication/authorization, and common web security risks. - Use AI agents for real multi-step work, not just autocomplete; write clear specs, scope tasks well, give agents proper context, and verify output against the real system. - Think like a product engineer: start with the problem, ask "why" before "how," and get creative about solutions. - Make thoughtful technical judgments that hold up over time; bias toward simple, maintainable solutions. - Communicate clearly about decisions, risks, and trade-offs to engineers and non-engineers; make teammates better through code review, pairing, and mentoring. - Lead technical work beyond your own tickets: scope projects, guide other engineers, work with external partners to keep delivery on track and quality high. At Staff level, own architecture across multiple systems. - Stay curious about fast-changing tools and practices; evaluate on evidence and know what to adopt based on long-term sustainability. Bonus Experience: - Shipped an LLM-backed feature to production and determined programmatically whether it's working. - Extended an AI development environment with MCP servers, repository instructions, reusable skills, custom workflows, or automated code review. - Worked with business systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, or HRIS platforms. - Built event-driven systems or reverse ETL pipelines. - Worked with AWS or similar cloud platform and infrastructure as code. - Established new systems, standards, or engineering practices from early stage. - Worked in hospitality, events, real estate, or another customer-centric, multi-location business.
