Graphcore is a leading innovator in AI compute hardware and software infrastructure, backed by SoftBank Group. The Software Infrastructure team provides critical platforms and services for software development teams across the business, including CI/CD platforms, build engineering, component integration, and packaging/release systems.
In this Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer role, you will develop, own, and maintain essential tools and services that empower the broader software team. Your work will directly enhance the build, test, deployment, and productization processes for machine learning software components running on Graphcore's high-performance computing AI platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining tools and services supporting the software build and release process
- Deploying and maintaining services using Kubernetes and Docker
- Managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform and similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Supporting the technical development of junior and graduate engineers
- Establishing strong engineering discipline focused on high reliability and minimal operational toil
The Software Infrastructure team operates in squads with a culture of service ownership and empowerment. You'll work on long-term engineering solutions that eliminate toil and scale infrastructure across the organization.
Essential qualifications include proficiency in Python, Go, or C++ (or similar languages), hands-on experience deploying services in cloud environments (AWS preferred), and deep understanding of Linux environments. This role offers valuable experience working with distributed systems and HPC platforms at the cutting edge of AI infrastructure.
