Salary: EUR 7,000 - 8,500 / monthly
Hoxhunt is building AI-native human risk management solutions to protect organizations against cybersecurity threats. This role leads engineering for data-intensive reporting and integration products that power Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) partners serving millions of users.
You will own three core areas:
**Delivery Leadership & Product Partnership**: Transform product strategy into shipped outcomes by maintaining sharp scope, high quality, and consistent momentum. Work daily with Product Management to solve real customer problems and deliver measurable value.
**Technical Direction & Engineering Maturity**: Make pragmatic architecture decisions enabling partners to operate efficiently at scale. Raise operational excellence standards across the team. Build hands-on in the production stack (Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, GCP) while maintaining sharp technical judgment without becoming a bottleneck.
**People Leadership**: Own team development, performance management, and hiring for a growing team of 8+ engineers. Lead by example through hands-on contribution and mentorship.
**Success Milestones**:
- First 3 months: Build deep context of people, product, delivery, and operations. Establish strong trust with team and product partners. Take active ownership of team management.
- Month 6: Confidently shape roadmaps, drive technical solutions, and demonstrably elevate team technical and operational maturity.
**Work Environment**: Hybrid role based in Helsinki with expectation to work from office 2-3 days per week. You'll report to VP of Engineering and work closely with Product, Design, and your dedicated engineering team. Collaborative, team-focused culture emphasizing candid feedback and extreme ownership.
**Requirements**:
- Proven hands-on Tech Lead or Engineering Manager experience leading product teams. Lead by example through building, not from distance.
- Strong track record shipping and running large-scale, data-intensive SaaS systems with high standards for availability, latency, and data quality.
- Full-stack competence in Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, GCP with production systems experience (observability, incident response, performance optimization).
- Strong product and engineering judgment balancing speed with sustainability.
- Demonstrated ability to raise the bar through mentoring, setting high standards, and building scalable delivery systems.
- Comfortable challenging product, peers, and management when customer or business interests are at stake.
- Practical, production-grade AI/LLM engineering experience (or strong proof of ability to ramp quickly). Ability to ship AI-driven capabilities safely and actively use AI tools to multiply hands-on contributions.
