Salary: CAD 180,000 - 220,000 / annual
BitGo is a publicly traded digital asset infrastructure company (NYSE: BTGO) providing custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, stablecoins, and settlement services. You will join as a Senior Mobile Software Engineer responsible for building retail-facing applications that enable users to manage and move digital assets. This is a full-time, onsite role in the Toronto office. You will own features end-to-end—from design through release—with emphasis on security, performance, and polished user experience across both iOS and Android platforms. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a team that values open communication, transparency, ownership, and craftsmanship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and shipping mobile features with a focus on security and performance
- Integrating RESTful APIs and managing offline state, caching, and error recovery
- Writing robust tests across unit, integration, and UI layers
- Debugging complex problems and optimizing algorithms
- Monitoring and iterating on apps post-launch
- Contributing to a culture of innovation and technical excellence
The role requires deep expertise in mobile development and a willingness to work across multiple platforms and technology stacks.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with at least one app shipped to the App Store or Google Play
- Deep experience in at least one of: React Native with TypeScript, native iOS with Swift, or native Android with Kotlin; willingness to work across all three
- Working knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (or ability to learn quickly if background is native)
- Solid grasp of the mobile development lifecycle from design through release and post-launch monitoring
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling offline state, caching, and error recovery
- Strong testing habits across unit, integration, and UI tests
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and algorithm skills
- Interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
**Preferred:**
- Mobile security experience (secure storage, certificate pinning, jailbreak/root detection, biometric authentication, app attestation)
- Experience designing RESTful APIs
- Prior experience in the crypto industry
- Familiarity with digital wallets, cryptographic signing, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems
