As a Senior Software Engineer on Blueprint—one of the developer platform teams—you will help establish the natural, preferred way engineers build and ship software at Epidemic Sound. Blueprint provides the golden path for rapid, safe service delivery through service templates, a software catalogue, developer portal, build pipelines, code quality gates, API discovery, and related infrastructure. With AI coding agents now enabling engineers to run more services, Blueprint ensures ownership, quality, and cost visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain the golden path: service templates, scaffolding, code quality gates, and upgrade paths
- Build the software catalogue and developer portal so engineers can see what they own, how it compares to standards, and how to close gaps
- Shape context and tooling that enable coding agents to build services correctly by default
- Design and build solutions addressing product team needs
- Partner with other platform and infrastructure teams on shared build pipelines, routing, and web tooling
- Participate in setting technical direction for developer experience domains and mentor junior engineers
Requirements:
- Several years of experience building internal developer platforms, tooling, or infrastructure with demonstrated adoption by other engineers
- Strong backend engineering in Go or comparable language
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (Epidemic Sound uses GCP with GitHub Actions)
- Practical experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding workflows and perspective on making them safe by default
- Experience working as a product team, including interacting with engineering teams as clients, using bets as organizing principle, and experiments for validating hypotheses
- Ability to say no when appropriate
