In this Senior Risk Management Specialist role, you will scale and develop lemon.markets' Risk Management Framework during a period of significant regulatory and business growth. Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will own meaningful responsibilities across multiple risk domains, ensuring controls, assessments, and governance mature alongside the organization. Key responsibilities include: - Identifying, assessing, and documenting risks across operational, non-financial, and financial domains in collaboration with business stakeholders and control owners - Driving risk assessments, control testing, and issue remediation tracking with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance teams - Maintaining and improving the internal control framework, risk register, and operational risk procedures - Contributing to ICAAP, ILAAP, third-party risk, and security-related assessments - Drafting requirements for process improvements and automation initiatives to increase risk transparency and reduce manual work - Collaborating with auditors and supervisory stakeholders on evidence gathering, incident analysis, and follow-up actions You bring strong hands-on experience in Risk Management within FinTech, banking, audit, consulting, or similarly regulated environments, with broad exposure across multiple risk domains. You have solid knowledge of operational and non-financial risk, internal controls, and risk governance, plus understanding of financial risk topics (credit, market, liquidity, ICAAP, ILAAP). Familiarity with MaRisk, DORA, CRR, IFR, and EBA/ESMA guidelines is essential; knowledge of MiFID, MaComp, and WpHG is a strong plus. You are comfortable with risk management tools, structured documentation, and testing. You communicate clearly in English and ideally have professional working proficiency in German. You are hands-on, analytical, and collaborative—thriving in fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environments while working effectively across functions.
