REGENT is building Seagliders—wing-in-ground-effect craft that travel just above water at 180 mph with 180-mile range on current battery technology. The company is scaling from prototype to full production and seeking a Senior RAM Engineer to build the reliability, availability, and maintainability program for Viceroy from the ground up.
In this hands-on, cross-functional role, you will develop the complete RAM program including reliability predictions, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and a scheduled maintenance program using Maintenance Steering Group-3 (MSG-3) or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology. You'll act as the connective link between Systems Engineering, Certification, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building the RAM program with reliability predictions, FMECA, and analysis foundations for Viceroy's maintenance program
- Developing the scheduled maintenance program using MSG-3 or RCM methodology and supporting documentation
- Partnering with Systems Engineering and Certification to align RAM work products with safety analyses and means-of-compliance submissions
- Serving as liaison between Systems Engineering/Certification and Quality/Manufacturing, translating reliability requirements into producible designs and feeding production/field failure data back into the certification basis
- Establishing a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process and leading failure investigations to closure
- Building tools, processes, and documentation to scale RAM work as production ramps
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who communicates effectively across disciplines, a creative problem solver who improves processes and anticipates downstream impacts, adaptable and agile in fast-paced startup environments, and driven by curiosity and passion for technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience in RAM engineering for safety-critical systems in regulated environments (aerospace, maritime, medical, nuclear, or similar)
- Hands-on experience developing scheduled maintenance programs using MSG-3 or RCM methodology
- Strong experience with reliability engineering methods including reliability prediction, FMECA, FMEA, and Weibull analysis
- Experience with FRACAS systems, including using failure data to identify trends, investigate root causes, and drive reliability improvements
- Familiarity with system safety and certification frameworks including ARP4761 and/or ARP4754A, and understanding of how RAM engineering supports system safety assessments and certification
- Ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines and functions, collaborating with Engineering, Certification, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
- Flying, sailing, or boating experience is a plus
