Siemens is seeking a Senior Prompt Engineer & Agent Configuration Specialist to design and optimize AI agents for enterprise business processes. This role bridges complex business operations with cutting-edge AI technology, focusing on prompt engineering, agent configuration, and process-to-prompt translation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and optimize prompts; define agent roles and convert complex business requirements into clear, actionable instructions for AI systems
- Create and maintain AI agent configurations, define tool-calling instructions, and recommend appropriate AI approaches
- Analyze business processes (particularly Procure-to-Pay workflows), collaborate with domain experts to capture decision logic, and translate process knowledge into effective prompts
- Identify human-in-the-loop checkpoints and governance requirements
- Build test sets, evaluate output quality, detect issues, and document prompt versions with associated metrics
- Support iterative improvement of prompts based on feedback and testing results
The role is based in Ostrava with hybrid flexibility (up to 3 days per week remote). You will work within Siemens' broader AI and digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement AI agents in financial and operational processes.

Requirements:
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) for daily communication and technical documentation
- Basic understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, purchasing, or financial operations; experience in finance, shared services, procurement, or business operations strongly preferred
- Proficiency in JSON and Python; full-stack application design knowledge
- Strong understanding of AI concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), knowledge graphs, ontologies, and agentic AI
- Practical experience developing and testing prompts for enterprise use cases
- Practical exposure to Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or comparable AI technologies preferred
- Analytical thinking with ability to understand and challenge business processes and operating procedures
- Structured approach, curiosity, precision regarding logic and edge cases, collaborative mindset, pragmatism, and commitment to quality and governance
- Selection process includes a practical task: designing a system prompt and test scenarios based on a simplified process map
