As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help build, operate, and improve the cloud platforms, build systems, and continuous integration and delivery infrastructure that support Wayve's software development lifecycle. You'll create reliable, scalable, secure, and efficient environments for software development, testing, deployment, and release. As one of the first two DevOps engineers in Japan, you'll combine hands-on project work with local coverage for Wayve's global developer-support model during Japan working hours.
Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), automation, and developer tooling for reliable, repeatable delivery
- Operating and scaling CI/CD services, including build agents, runners, artifact storage, distributed execution, caching, and containerized workloads
- Implementing observability, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting infrastructure, pipeline, build, and deployment issues
- Optimizing cloud systems for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
- Working with engineering teams across Japan, UK, and US to ensure platforms meet application needs and support scalable software delivery
- Contributing to DevOps support channels, incident response, root cause analysis, and reducing manual operations through automation
Wayve operates a hybrid working model combining in-person collaboration in dedicated office spaces with focused remote work.
