Passage Health is a Series A healthtech startup modernizing autism care delivery through technology. The company has grown 3x over the past year and is focused on building durable infrastructure to support long-term scaling in a $460B market.
As Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the foundational infrastructure that enables the entire engineering organization. This is a largely greenfield role where you'll define the platform, tooling, and systems needed to support AI efforts—including environments and test harnesses for safely validating AI agent behavior. You'll report directly to the founder and CTO, making high-leverage decisions about infrastructure, CI/CD, and developer experience while setting standards for the broader team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and managing cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform on AWS, ensuring reproducibility, reviewability, and scalability
- Owning infrastructure end-to-end, from greenfield architecture decisions to ongoing operations
- Designing and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines in GitHub to enable rapid, safe shipping
- Maintaining platform security, observability, and reliability as the product and team scale
- Providing technical leadership by setting infrastructure standards and partnering across engineering teams
You'll work in a fast-paced environment with significant autonomy, strong product sense, and the ability to thrive with greenfield ambiguity. The role offers the opportunity to make meaningful impact on an early-stage company helping children with autism access better care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE engineering, including building and running production systems at scale
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform and AWS, with a code-first approach to infrastructure management
- Deep experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working day-to-day in GitHub
- Production experience building and running services in Node.js and TypeScript
- Comfort working across multiple programming languages and picking up new tools as needed
- Strong product mindset—understanding how infrastructure decisions impact product and users
- Ability to thrive with autonomy and take end-to-end ownership in a fast-moving environment
