Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electronic Warfare (EW) Manufacturing team in Irvine, California. The EW Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware for electromagnetic warfare systems. In this role, you will own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain, including Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electro-mechanical assemblies. You will drive process improvements, ensure the highest quality of production, and support the development and implementation of new products. Key responsibilities include: - Owning portions of the manufacturing value chain including AI&T for electro-mechanical assemblies - Contributing to operational excellence with a strong continuous improvement mindset and leading Kaizen events - Partnering with Product Quality Engineering to drive RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) burndowns - Collaborating with Design Engineering teams in early to late phases of development to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFx) guidance - Developing process flows and breaking down complex assemblies into logical part flows and sub-processes - Writing documentation for manufacturing at scale, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements - Working with contract manufacturers across disciplines (PCBA fab, metallic manufacturing, assembly) to develop repeatable processes - Working hands-on with technicians and other engineers to build prototype hardware - Contributing to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects and board fabrication You will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, increasing efficiencies on existing technologies, and developing new products while scaling to full production. REQUIREMENTS: - Degree in a technical field preferred (engineering, math, or hard science) - 8+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware - Demonstrated ability to creatively and effectively deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments - Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.); work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus - Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents - Genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning - Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with RF products that require system AI&T (assembly, integration, and test) - Exposure to or interest in scaling product testing and production - Hands-on experience with software & firmware flashing or end-of-line testing & troubleshooting - Software scripting experience in any language - Current active U.S. Secret security clearance
