Scalable Capital, a leading digital investment and banking platform with full banking license, is seeking an experienced Kotlin/Java software engineer to build a new banking platform serving customers across Europe. You will work alongside a highly motivated team of software engineers and academics to implement cutting-edge technology and modern software development practices.
Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and implementing interfaces with major players in the financial industry

The role involves working with an international, diverse team on loosely-coupled, scalable architectures. You'll be part of one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech startups, with offices in centrally located Berlin and Munich. The company employs over 700 people across Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Milan, and London, and manages over €50 billion for more than one million clients.

Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, engineering, sciences, or comparable qualification
- Experience with Kotlin, Docker, Spring Boot, cloud infrastructure, and event-based asynchronous architectures
- Experience in modern software development processes (agile, self-sufficient teams, CI/CD, test automation)
- Experience designing and implementing loosely-coupled, scalable architectures
- Profound understanding of RESTful API design
- Passion for well-architected, testable, and documented code
- Strong analytical thinking in technical and product domains
- Excellent communication skills (clear, concise, targeted to engineering, product, and other stakeholders)
- AWS, Terraform, Python, and GraphQL are strong pluses
- Background in financial services is a strong plus
