SumUp is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join the Order Taking squad, which owns core ordering experiences within SumUp's Point of Sale app. This includes the shopping bag, checkout, catalog experience, open orders, table management, and printer integrations—capabilities that help thousands of hospitality merchants manage orders reliably during daily service.
In this role, you will design and build new ordering experiences in SwiftUI while evolving established capabilities such as table management, kitchen workflows, and printer integrations. You'll contribute to shared Kotlin Multiplatform business logic and help shape the architecture of the ordering domain. A key focus is improving the reliability and usability of ordering features used daily by hospitality merchants across phones, tablets, and POS devices.
You'll collaborate closely with Android engineers and platform teams to maintain consistent cross-platform behavior and reliable multi-device order synchronization. The role involves active participation in code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative testing to maintain a high quality bar. You'll help refine and scope upcoming work, bringing technical judgment to product and architectural trade-offs, and contribute to Mobile Chapter and KMP platform initiatives across the wider POS tribe.
The Order Taking squad is small, experienced, and fast-moving. The team values engineers who communicate directly, challenge assumptions, and proactively shape solutions rather than simply execute predefined tasks. You'll work in an office-first setup in Paris with a truly global, multicultural team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience building production iOS applications in Swift, with strong SwiftUI knowledge
- Experience working in a large, established codebase and making pragmatic improvements without requiring a full rewrite
- Openness to learning and contributing to Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform; previous hands-on KMP experience is welcome but not required
- Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, propose solutions proactively, and communicate clearly and directly
- Experience collaborating closely with Android engineers or other cross-platform partners to align product behavior
- Sound technical judgment and the ability to balance product delivery, code quality, and long-term maintainability
