Legion is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain integration and automation solutions for its workforce management platform. You will work on developing scalable integration architectures connecting Legion WFM with HR, POS, Payroll, and other enterprise systems using modern cloud platforms and integration technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
**Technical Integrations:** Design and implement scalable integration architectures using Workato and REST APIs within Legion's API-driven ecosystem. Develop secure, high-performance integrations on modern cloud platforms. Collaborate with architects and engineers on design and code reviews. Stay current with agile software engineering trends.
**Legion Product Expertise:** Gain deep knowledge of Legion's product and integration ecosystem. Identify and prioritize product bugs and enhancements. Work with core engineering and production teams to improve backend reliability and troubleshoot production issues. Write secure, enterprise-grade integration code. Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
**Team Collaboration & Mentorship:** Share expertise and mentor junior engineers. Contribute to best practices documentation. Support process improvements and advocate for scalable, sustainable integrations.
**Important Note:** This is an overnight shift role (2230–0730 IST) with on-call rotation participation and potential work outside normal business hours.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of business/information/solution/technical architecture experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM field (Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related)
- 3+ years of experience with event-driven architecture and microservices
- Deep technical expertise in integration technologies and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SOAP, REST, JMS, JDBC)
- Linux/Unix environment experience
- Proficiency with Core Java
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and JDBC (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- 2+ years of AWS technologies (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, EC2)
- Test-driven development experience
- Strong Java/RESTful web services experience
- Agile software development toolsets (Jira, GitHub, Jenkins)
- CI/CD processes and tools knowledge
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Team player who can work independently
- Analytical, results-driven, solution-oriented approach
- Exceptional interpersonal and English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workforce management integration experience
- Design and implementation of scalable integration solutions with platforms like Workato, SAP BTP Integration Suite, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit, SnapLogic
- Technical consulting experience
- Docker and container isolation technologies
- End-to-end external application integrations (Workday, SAP, etc.)
