LiveEO is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of significant parts of SurfaceScout, a core product that transforms satellite data into actionable insights for critical infrastructure operators. This is a high-ownership role combining hands-on engineering, systems design, and technical leadership within a squad.
You will design and build features end-to-end using TypeScript and Python, translating product requirements into reliable, well-tested production systems. Key responsibilities include defining and implementing integrations with LiveEO's platform and data services, collaborating across teams on shared components and architecture alignment, and owning key architectural decisions around service boundaries, data models, and deployment patterns.
You'll iterate quickly on feedback from product, customers, and stakeholders, evolving features into robust solutions. As a senior voice on the team, you'll mentor teammates, review code, and help shape technical direction. You'll champion engineering best practices including code quality, documentation, testing, and observability to keep the codebase healthy as the product scales. The role spans the full stack—from backend services and APIs to frontend interfaces—delivering a cohesive end-to-end experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong engineering fundamentals in TypeScript and Python, with focus on clean, maintainable, well-structured code
- Several years of experience building and shipping full stack applications in production, including backend services, APIs, and modern frontend interfaces
- Proven ability to own features end-to-end and deliver them reliably, translating product requirements into robust, production-grade solutions
- Experience designing and implementing integrations between systems (APIs, data pipelines, third-party services)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and deploying and operating scalable services
- Solid understanding of software architecture and system design, with ability to make pragmatic trade-offs
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments and aligning with multiple stakeholders
- Experience mentoring engineers or setting technical direction within a team
