H Company builds agents that interact with computers like humans do, operating in browsers and on desktops. You'll join the Product Engineering team to build the interfaces that enable teams to deploy, monitor, and replay agent actions.
You'll own the user-facing experience across two main products: the H Platform (a web app where teams deploy agents, watch them live, and replay their actions step-by-step) and HoloTab (a Chrome extension that controls the browser on behalf of users). The work is primarily front-end focused in React and TypeScript, with Python API changes as features require.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and iterating on the H Platform web application
- Developing and improving the HoloTab Chrome extension
- Designing the live run view and replay interface
- Making changes to Python APIs to support new features
- Establishing shared component patterns and standards
- Making long-running workflows easier for Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and customers to deploy and monitor
Within your first three months, you'll ship a feature (including API changes) to users. By six months, you'll own a major surface area (such as live runs/replay or the HoloTab interface), and the team will consult you on decisions. Within a year, you'll work across multiple products, collaborating with product owners on what to build and then executing.
You'll work closely with the VP of Engineering (your hiring manager), product owners for the H Platform and HoloTab, and your users: Forward Deployed Engineers, technical customers, and daily HoloTab users.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Shipped production products in React and TypeScript as a senior engineer
- Comfortable making both API changes and UI changes for features
- Write correct, concurrent code
- Handle live, async data in the UI correctly
- Enjoy discovering user needs and designing interfaces around them
- Experience with Python
Desirable experience:
- Chrome extensions or Chrome DevTools Protocol
- Real-time interfaces using streaming, SSE, or WebSockets
- Design systems or component libraries
- FastAPI or similar Python API frameworks
- Preact and Vite
Note: You do not need a background in Python backend development. If you match most requirements but not every point, you're encouraged to apply.
