Prenuvo is transforming healthcare from reactive sick-care to proactive health care through award-winning whole-body MRI scans. The company operates a global network of clinics and is building an integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and AI to detect health issues early.
You will join the eCommerce team as a Senior Frontend Engineer I, owning complex features in the online booking experience that patients use to select scans, find clinics, pay, and schedule appointments. This is a high-impact role on a Next.js and TypeScript application serving multiple countries, where every screen directly affects conversion, revenue, and patient trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own features and components within booking experience areas (checkout, payments, scheduling, sales-assisted flows), growing toward end-to-end ownership
- Partner with Product and Marketing on growth initiatives: ship experiments on the booking funnel, analyze results honestly (sample size, guardrail metrics), and distinguish real wins from noise
- Build fast, accessible, customer-facing features using React, Next.js (App Router), and TypeScript
- Contribute to frontend architecture and design through proposals reviewed with senior engineers, covering server/client component boundaries, server state (TanStack Query), client state (Zustand), and type-safe forms (React Hook Form, Zod)
- Integrate booking experience with commerce APIs and third-party services: Stripe, Affirm, commercetools, Voucherify, Salesforce, Auth0, Google Maps
- Instrument shipping with observability: Datadog RUM for errors/performance, PostHog for analytics/experiments/feature flags, Google Tag Manager for marketing, respecting customer consent
- Improve Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and rendering performance on high-traffic, revenue-critical funnel
- Make accessibility a default: semantic markup, keyboard/screen reader support, automated accessibility checks in CI
- Write automated tests at appropriate levels: Vitest and Testing Library for components, MSW for API mocking, Playwright for end-to-end flows
- Own outcomes in production: ship behind feature flags, monitor dashboards post-release, follow through when issues arise; accountability for whether features work for customers, not just whether code merged
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Backend engineers; contribute to shared component library and agree API contracts
- Provide technical guidance through design discussions and high-quality code review; mentor junior engineers
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully within structured build, review, and test workflows
Requirements:
- Typically 4+ years professional frontend engineering experience, including at least 3 years building production applications with React and TypeScript
- Strong experience with Next.js or comparable React framework, including server-side rendering, routing, and server vs. client rendering tradeoffs
- Deep understanding of browser fundamentals: semantic HTML, modern CSS and responsive layout, event loop, network and caching behavior, rendering pipeline
- Experience with modern data-fetching and state management patterns (TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux, or similar) and complex, validated, multi-step forms
- Strong testing practices across unit, component, and end-to-end layers using Vitest/Jest, Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress
- Experience building checkout, payment, or other transactional flows where correctness and reliability matter
- Working knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and web performance (Core Web Vitals)
- Experience with frontend observability and product analytics tools: Datadog RUM, Sentry, PostHog, Google Analytics
- Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD practices and cloud hosting (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS)
- Track record of leading complex features from design through production
- Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguous work, knowing when to seek second opinions, balancing speed with quality
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to have:
- Stripe.js and payment method integrations (buy now, pay later like Affirm)
- Headless commerce platforms (commercetools) or promotion engines (Voucherify)
- Tailwind CSS and design system/component library experience
- Consent management platforms (OneTrust), Google Tag Manager, privacy-aware analytics
- Multi-region products: multiple currencies/locales, date/time/timezone handling
- Growth engineering: owning acquisition/activation/conversion metrics, shipping many small experiments
- Funnel analytics and marketing attribution: event tracking, UTM/referral attribution, conversion tracking (Google Ads, Meta)
- Growth surfaces: landing pages, email capture, referral programs, promo codes, abandoned-cart recovery
- Authentication/identity providers (Auth0)
- Scheduling, booking, consumer healthcare applications, or highly regulated industries
