Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops autonomous systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control centers. Anduril brings cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to military applications.
In this Senior Electrical Engineer role focused on sensor systems, you will design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles throughout their complete lifecycle—from concept through production. Your responsibilities include full-cycle PCB design (requirements, schematic, component selection, layout, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration), developing system interconnect diagrams and wire harnesses, and providing cross-discipline collaboration on air vehicle subsystem development. You will conduct vendor surveys and component evaluations, perform peer-level design reviews, build and test engine system components in lab and field environments, and support root cause analysis for field operations.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in circuit design, sensor integration, and complex board-level troubleshooting. You will work with test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and current probes, and contribute to the full development cycle of military-grade autonomous systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/MS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 7+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
- Strong background in circuit design, components, and mixed-signal design
- Experience with sensor design, build, test, and integration
- Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain
- Competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes, test automation)
- Familiarity with standard interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.)
- Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred; Eagle and others acceptable)
- Experience in EMI testing
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Environmental testing experience in military and/or commercial industry
- Previous design and testing of height-of-burst sensors for ordnance fuzing
- Previous design and testing of ordnance fuzing systems
- Experience in UAS, missiles, or maritime programs
- Experience with DoD Weapons Safety Boards
- Experience designing and scaling production at volume
- Experience developing or testing complex electrical systems
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-2105
- Experience with JOTP-052 and JOTP-054
- Experience with explosive operations and/or munitions handling
