Formlabs is a 3D printing company powering innovation at over 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Budapest (hybrid, with weekly office presence required).
In this role, you'll design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure supporting Formlabs' software and services. You'll drive improvements in developer experience through better CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform tooling. Key responsibilities include:
• Design and operate production infrastructure supporting development, testing, and operations of Formlabs' software and services
• Drive improvements in developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform tooling
• Take ownership of production systems with a proactive mindset toward monitoring, performance, and continuous improvement
• Lead and contribute to architectural decisions impacting infrastructure and how engineering teams interact with it
• Mentor other engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Build and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms, cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS), and automation tooling
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems are robust, actionable, and scalable
• Work cross-functionally with Software, Test, and Data teams to align platform improvements with organizational needs

REQUIREMENTS:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform, or SRE roles supporting production SaaS systems
• Hands-on expertise with: Linux systems administration and troubleshooting, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), scripting in Bash/Python or similar, monitoring and observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sentry)
• Strong understanding of modern infrastructure security principles
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S)
• Experience supporting complex distributed systems in production environments
BONUS SKILLS:
• Familiarity with 3D printing workflows or hardware/software integration
• Background in building developer platforms or internal tooling for large engineering teams
• Strong interest in improving engineering productivity and operational maturity through automation and tooling
