Empathy is a venture-backed platform transforming how families navigate life's most difficult transitions—from bereavement to major life changes—by combining technology with compassionate human care. The company partners with leading employers, insurers, and financial institutions to deliver human-centric support at scale, currently serving over 50 million people across the US, Canada, and the UK. Backed by top-tier investors including General Catalyst and Index Ventures, Empathy has raised over $160 million. As Senior Brand & Marketing Designer, you'll lead creative vision and strategic design execution across the organization. You'll develop and execute compelling creative concepts that elevate the brand across multiple touchpoints: marketing campaigns, social media, presentations, web, and print materials. Working closely with marketing, content, and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll create cohesive, high-impact visual storytelling that aligns with brand identity and business objectives. Key responsibilities include maintaining and evolving brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual communications, designing marketing materials that effectively communicate the company's message while preserving brand integrity, and leveraging data and industry trends to inform creative decisions. You'll partner with external vendors and agencies on large-scale projects and serve as a strategic problem-solver who can take concepts from ideation through completion. You bring 4+ years of brand design experience, ideally in tech or startups, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual storytelling, typography, layout, and both digital and print design. A Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication or equivalent is required. You're an independent problem-solver with strong web design skills, responsive design understanding, and pixel-perfect attention to detail. Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe suite is essential. You communicate clearly, translate complex concepts into engaging visuals, and thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
