You will join the team building Cashalo, Tilt's lending product for the Philippines. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you are a high-ownership individual contributor on a lean, globally distributed team spanning APAC and beyond. You will own features end-to-end—from requirements through deployment—working closely with product, credit, and engineering colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) powering Cashalo's lending products
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, from requirements through deployment, collaborating with product and business stakeholders
- Contribute to platform reliability, observability, and deployment practices on Azure
- Uplift the team through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and maintaining high quality standards
This is a 100% remote role requiring travel 2-4 times per year for in-person team gatherings.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated hands-on production experience with .NET (C#) building backend systems
- Strong SQL Server experience: relational data modeling, query optimization, schema management
- Experience building on a public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Strong fundamentals in designing and consuming REST APIs
- Product engineer mindset—focused on solving real user and business problems
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, lean team where ownership and initiative are valued
- Fintech or lending experience is a plus (not required)
