In this Senior Backend Engineer role, you'll ship software to production daily using coding agents, influence product direction through engineering decisions, and collaborate with a high-performing engineering, product, and design team. You'll work on systems that meaningfully accelerate your team's velocity and solve hard problems—not just ship features on schedule.
You're someone with a track record of building systems that made your team significantly faster or enabled work previously thought impossible. You operate with high agency, identifying what needs to be done and driving it forward without waiting for direction. You've felt frustrated when things move slowly and have taken action to fix it.
The tech stack is modern and full-stack: React + Redux Toolkit/React Query (TypeScript) on the front-end; Node.js + Express (TypeScript), TypeORM, and Postgres on the back-end.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of demonstrable experience architecting and developing applications with Node.js
- Demonstrable experience writing type-safe code with TypeScript
- Strong ES6 experience
- Experience using agents to ship to production
- Experience with TypeORM (plus)
- Experience with TanStack Query (plus)
