Mythic is seeking a Reliability Engineer to build and drive the company's reliability and qualification strategy for next-generation AI/ML semiconductor products. You will own automotive-grade qualification planning and execution, including stress testing methodologies (HTOL, HAST, thermal cycling, autoclave) and reliability modeling. This role requires close partnership with design, test engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet stringent reliability and qualification requirements. Key responsibilities include analyzing reliability and failure data to identify systematic issues and wear-out mechanisms, working directly with OSATs, foundries, and external test labs to execute qualification and reliability test plans, and making informed tradeoffs across reliability margin, qualification timeline, cost, and product schedule. You will also improve infrastructure, documentation, and analytics for reliability tracking and qualification reporting. This is an individual contributor role that requires deep engagement with reliability data, failure analysis, and cross-functional execution. You will operate with urgency and ambiguity while maintaining a high bar for execution. The role emphasizes a builder mindset—creating structure and processes rather than waiting for perfect organizational frameworks. Success requires comfort navigating the intersection of technical rigor and business pragmatism in a fast-moving company environment. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering, qualification engineering, or related silicon production role - Experience taking silicon products through automotive qualification (e.g., AEC-Q100 or similar) - Hands-on experience designing and executing reliability stress tests and qualification plans - Deep understanding of semiconductor failure mechanisms, wear-out, and reliability modeling - Strong debug instincts and data fluency—ability to extract signal from noisy reliability and failure data - Experience working cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and manufacturing teams - Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and a high bar for execution - Builder mindset and willingness to create structure without waiting for perfect conditions
