Salary: USD 85,000 - 95,000 / annual

Laborup is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead and improve quality systems supporting industrial component deconstruction, refurbishment, remanufacturing, and re-assembly operations. This is a hands-on role combining Quality Management System (QMS) ownership, internal and customer audits, corrective actions, risk management, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include maintaining and continuously improving the site QMS to meet internal, customer, and industry standards; planning and leading internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits with full documentation and corrective action closure; owning CAR/PAR and product action processes including containment, root cause investigation, and effectiveness verification; and leading PFMEA and risk management activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing and product quality risks. You will manage TQMS programs including Layered Process Audits (LPA), Outgoing Quality Audits (OQA), and Error Proofing Verification (EPV). Additional responsibilities include maintaining controlled documents, work instructions, quality records, Certificates of Conformance, and training records; developing and validating packaging specifications and process controls; collecting and analyzing quality data to identify trends and drive improvements; and partnering cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field with 1–2+ years of quality engineering or quality systems experience. Required skills include QMS support and maintenance, audit and corrective action experience, PFMEA and manufacturing risk management knowledge, strong Excel and quality data analysis capabilities, and excellent cross-functional communication. Preferred qualifications include manufacturing quality engineering experience, audit experience, CAPA process ownership, LPA experience, OQA/EPV familiarity, document control expertise, packaging/process validation experience, and direct customer/supplier engagement on quality matters.
