This Principal C Engineer role is an opportunity to join a world-leading engineering team designing and developing features across Pico's product range. The company's core offerings include Redline Trading Solutions—ultra-low latency market data and order execution platforms serving equities, options, futures, and foreign exchange markets—and Corvil Analytics, which provides real-time and retrospective performance analysis at network and business levels.
You will work on solving complex challenges in real-time data normalization and analysis at scale, bringing innovative technology into new markets and deployment models. The role emphasizes learning, innovation, and collaboration with highly skilled engineers tackling the toughest latency and throughput problems in modern financial markets.
Key requirements include a BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline; strong proficiency in C development under Linux with a focus on maintainable code; and deep knowledge of capital markets (equities, fixed income, etc.) and trading concepts (order types, quotes, execution models). This is a technical leadership position for an experienced engineer ready to drive architectural decisions and mentor peers on high-performance, mission-critical systems.
