Vasco is the revenue context layer for AI agents, structuring CRM, billing, calls, and support data into a semantic layer where every metric is sourced, every definition is locked, and every answer is deterministic. The company builds agents that automate manual busywork for revenue teams. You will be the first dedicated owner of Vasco's DevOps practice and infrastructure platform, reporting to the CTO and working with product and data engineers. You'll establish the blueprints and guardrails that enable every engineer to contribute to the platform safely and quickly. When standards slip, you step in and fix the root cause so the same miss doesn't repeat. Within twelve months, engineers ship faster and safer on a strengthening platform with clear ownership when production issues arise. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the quality bar for infrastructure, security, observability, and monitoring across the organization - Managing GCP infrastructure and Kubernetes platform as code using Terraform, ensuring every environment is reviewable, repeatable, and scalable - Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines, self-service tooling, and deployment harness to keep shipping fast, safe, and reliable—including for AI-written code - Instrumenting production signals that matter, reducing noise, owning the incident process to catch issues before customers do, and running postmortems that improve team practices - Owning cloud, vendor, and LLM cost optimization: setting targets, cutting waste, and keeping trends visible - Implementing data security and access controls (IAM, secrets, network controls, Cloudflare, Aikido, model inference) with least privilege as default for systems holding customer revenue data - Supporting infrastructure behind data pipelines and warehouse alongside data engineers This is an early-stage role with high autonomy and direct impact. You'll own infrastructure decisions and their implementation, with little red tape between you and decisions. The scope you own grows with your experience. You should be ready to stretch beyond your comfort zone, stay open-minded, and wear multiple hats. You're AI-forward and actively contribute to how the team works with AI. The role is hybrid in Montreal: three days in-person per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) at WeWork Place Ville-Marie in downtown Montreal. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years of relevant production infrastructure experience - Proven track record owning production cloud infrastructure end-to-end on GCP or equivalent as the primary responsible person - Production experience managing environments with Terraform, with code as the only way infrastructure changes are made - Experience building or improving CI/CD and self-service tooling that product teams ship through daily, making it faster or safer without routing work through you - AI fluency: have integrated AI coding tools into your shipping workflow, know how to verify what they generate, and can keep high volumes of AI-written changes safe - Incident ownership: set up monitoring and alerting that catches problems before customers, owned incident processes, and run postmortems that changed team practices - Experience implementing IAM, secrets management, and network controls with least privilege as default for systems holding sensitive customer data - Demonstrated cost ownership: cut cloud spend without hurting reliability and kept costs visible to the team STAND-OUT QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with Vasco's stack: GCP, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Terraform, Atlantis, CircleCI, Datadog, Incident.io, Cloudflare, Aikido, Node.js, or TypeScript - Data platform infrastructure experience: run infrastructure for data pipelines and warehouses (Airbyte, Dataform, BigQuery) - Infrastructure for AI workloads: operated infrastructure for LLM or agent workloads, including usage and cost controls - Compliance experience: helped a team through SOC 2 or similar framework
