Adaption is building efficient, adaptive AI systems that evolve in real-time. As a Platform Engineer focused on APIs and Security, you will own the multi-tenant platform that transforms the company's inference infrastructure into a product that enterprises and sovereign customers can trust.
You will be responsible for the systems between customers and the inference stack, with a focus on security and auditability as core product requirements rather than afterthoughts. This is a high-impact role where you'll design and build the control plane that enables secure, scalable access to AI capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building the multi-tenant control plane, including credential management, quotas, rate limits, and tenant isolation
- Owning the public inference APIs, including streaming, versioning, compatibility, and migrations
- Implementing accurate usage metering, credit reservation, and entitlement enforcement
- Building enterprise capabilities such as SSO, access controls, audit logs, and data residency
- Testing and continuously strengthening the tenant boundary to ensure security
You will work in a talent-dense environment with builders and creative thinkers focused on pushing the boundaries of continual adaptation in AI. The team values adaptability, bold ideas, and collaborative problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering, with demonstrated ownership of a multi-tenant API or control plane
- Deep knowledge of authentication, credential management, rate limiting, quotas, and tenant isolation
- Strong Python skills and sound API design judgment, ideally with experience in high-throughput or streaming APIs
- Experience with metering, billing, credits, or entitlements, including idempotency, reconciliation, and audit trails
- Experience with enterprise or regulated environments, such as SSO, SAML/OIDC, SOC 2, data residency, or sovereign deployments
