Kaseya is hiring Platform Backend Engineers to build core infrastructure services for the Kaseya Intelligence Platform, a comprehensive IT management and cybersecurity solution serving Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and internal IT organizations globally. The company, founded in 2000 and backed by Insight Partners, manages over 15 million endpoints worldwide and operates in more than 20 countries.
In this role, you will design and operate production backend services in Go or Rust that power critical platform capabilities: workflow execution, identity management, event routing, secrets management, and audit infrastructure. You'll work on event-driven systems using Kafka and Temporal to convert PSA webhooks, RMM alerts, and platform events into durable, reliable execution pipelines.
Key responsibilities include building pluggable secrets-management and KMS abstractions supporting multiple cloud providers and customer-level cryptographic isolation; implementing capability-grant enforcement for fine-grained access control; owning GitOps-based deployment pipelines for versioned workflow definitions across isolated customer environments; and developing secure connector services for third-party APIs with scoped access and managed credentials.
You'll also improve platform observability, performance, and failure recovery through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing. The role emphasizes correctness, reliability, security, and operational clarity as core design requirements.
Required experience includes building and operating production backend services in Go or Rust; designing event-driven systems with Kafka or similar technologies; implementing authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, fine-grained access controls); implementing encryption or key-management solutions using cloud KMS platforms; and operating multi-tenant production systems with observability and incident-response practices.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Temporal or durable workflow orchestration; identity platforms like Zitadel, Keycloak, Auth0, or Okta; columnar or audit-focused data stores like ClickHouse; GitOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code; MSP/PSA/RMM/security platform integrations; compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC); and multi-cloud services across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
