Agility Robotics is seeking a PCB Layout and Interconnect Engineer to design the next generation of Digit humanoid robots deployed in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers. This role sits at the intersection of electrical and mechanical engineering, requiring deep expertise in PCB layout, cable harness design, and interconnect systems for complex robotic platforms. You will execute multi-layer PCB layouts using Altium Designer, design system cable assemblies and wire harnesses based on mechanical and electrical constraints, and collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to optimize board outlines, connector placement, and 3D harness routing through robotic assemblies. Key responsibilities include implementing PCB and harness solutions to improve emissions mitigation, power dissipation, manufacturability (DFM/DFA), and test; presenting designs at cross-functional design reviews; estimating work effort for project scheduling; and partnering with PCB fabricators, assembly houses, and cable harness vendors to resolve technical queries and support production. The role demands expertise in complex layout constraints including high-speed differential signaling, impedance control, and power electronics. You will work in a highly dynamic environment with rapidly evolving requirements and tight schedules, requiring strong collaborative skills and 3D visualization capabilities to optimize space-constrained circuitry and harness routing in challenging mechanical and thermal environments. Note: Position is primarily onsite in Fremont, CA, with potential consideration for Salem, OR or Pittsburgh, PA offices. Candidates should anticipate regular travel to Salem or Fremont, averaging 1 week per quarter, with bursts of extended stays during critical project phases. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent - 5+ years of PCB layout and cable harness design experience - Deep experience with Altium Designer (PCB layout) and 3D ECAD/MCAD integration - Experience with complex layout constraints: high-speed differential signaling, impedance control, power electronics - 3D visualization capabilities for space-constrained circuitry and harness routing - Strong understanding of IPC standards for PCB fabrication/assembly and wire harness assembly (IPC-620) - Cable harness design using Altium Harness - Flex and rigid-flex circuit design experience - Component footprint and symbol generation/management in Altium - Ability to thrive in dynamic environment with rapidly evolving requirements and tight schedules - Authorization to work in the USA BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Altium Multi-board design and system-level connectivity - Altium CoDesigner for ECAD/MCAD synchronization - HyperLynx for Signal Integrity (SI) and/or Power Integrity (PI) analysis - PTC Creo for mechanical integration and clearance checks - Adjacent engineering disciplines (schematic entry, firmware, mechanical, test) - Project management tools experience (Jira)
