Halter is a venture-backed agtech company transforming sustainable grazing practices. The company uses innovative technology to enable farmers and graziers to optimize their operations without traditional constraints like quad bikes, dogs, or fences.
You'll join the Finance Systems team as a NetSuite Developer, a newly created role focused on maintaining and enhancing Halter's finance technology stack. You'll work closely with the Senior Manager of Finance Systems and partner with accounting and FP&A teams to solve real business problems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining NetSuite integrations using REST/SOAP web services and RESTlets
- Writing and maintaining SuiteScript 2.x customizations and workflows
- Creating and optimizing saved searches, analytics, and dashboards using SuiteAnalytics
- Monitoring platform performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Documenting builds and configuration decisions to ensure system maintainability
- Collaborating with finance teams to understand needs and shape practical technical solutions
- Evaluating new NetSuite capabilities, including AI and agentic features, for adoption
- Supporting platform upgrades and finance systems work as Halter enters new markets
- Owning work end-to-end from building and testing through deployment and ongoing support

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite development experience
- Strong SuiteScript 2.x skills
- Experience building and maintaining integrations using REST/SOAP web services and RESTlets
- Solid SuiteFlow and SuiteAnalytics experience across workflows, saved searches, reporting, and dashboards
- Track record of owning work from building and testing through deployment and ongoing support
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot platform health proactively
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with or curiosity about NetSuite's native AI and agentic capabilities
- Exposure to EPM or planning tools, or willingness to learn quickly
- Background or genuine interest in accounting and finance
- Experience with system implementations, UAT, or structured project work
- SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) experience for source-controlled, scriptable deployments
