Salary: USD 170,000 - 350,000 / annual
Imbue is building a suite of open-source AI tools centered on personal AI agents that users can own and customize. The company is backed by major investors including Nvidia, Simon Last (Notion co-founder), and Eric Schmidt (former Google CEO), with $200M raised at a $1B+ valuation.
You will join as a Member of Technical Staff, a senior individual contributor role responsible for shaping the product direction and building across the entire stack. This is a 0-1 role where you'll have significant influence on both the technologies and overall product evolution. Responsibilities include designing APIs, building infrastructure, improving model tooling, and shaping new product features depending on where the greatest need exists. You'll work closely with customers to understand their needs and contribute directly to the product roadmap.
The role is intentionally broad and requires comfort with ambiguity. You may work on diverse projects—from backend infrastructure to frontend features to open-source tooling—and are expected to be self-directed and independent. The team values engineering best practices, shipping velocity, and deep technical curiosity.
You can work onsite at the San Francisco headquarters or fully remote.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of building and shipping projects or products from 0-1
- Strong proficiency in Python
