Isar Aerospace is seeking a Manager of Indirect Procurement to lead the indirect procurement function and manage a small team of buyers. This role combines people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on category management to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant procurement support across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead, support, and develop a small team of buyers, establishing clear priorities, effective workload management, and strong day-to-day procurement support.
• Oversee the team's indirect category scope, covering transport services, facility-related services, professional services, tools, IT equipment, trainings, and other operational support categories.
• Take direct ownership of selected categories, managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations hands-on where required.
• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies that balance cost, quality, service levels, and compliance requirements.
• Engage with internal stakeholders across the business to understand procurement needs and ensure timely, effective support.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in all procurement activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in indirect procurement or supply chain management, demonstrated people leadership capabilities, strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work hands-on while managing a team. Knowledge of aerospace or manufacturing environments is a plus.
