Salary: EUR 5,000 - 6,500 / monthly
Hoxhunt is building AI-native human risk management tools that combine AI-driven personalization, real threat detection, and behavioral science to protect organizations against cybersecurity threats. The company operates a small, fast-moving internal AI development team that serves as the go-to experts for ML across all products.
As a Machine Learning Engineer on the AI development team, you will embed with product teams to tackle technically demanding problems and ship solutions. You'll own end-to-end initiatives from conception through execution, working on diverse challenges such as minimizing unit costs on pipelines serving millions of users, building threat detection models with custom training loops, and developing multimodal and agentic AI systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain AI features and ML models serving millions of end users
- Build and maintain scalable APIs that integrate models directly into products
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and observability of AI systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams and PMs to scope and execute complex projects
- Take end-to-end ownership of initiatives from idea through execution
In your first 3 months, you'll ramp up on the tech stack, begin shipping features, and actively contribute to project planning. By month 6, you'll drive end-to-end projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and operate as a trusted core team member.
You'll join a team of four passionate, self-directed ML engineers working in a low-bureaucracy, high-autonomy environment with extreme kindness and psychological safety. The company emphasizes flexible hybrid work with weekly office visits to the Helsinki headquarters, which features a gym and swimming pool.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience in production environments
- Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals, including production-grade code
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI systems, and ML feature development in production
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Builder mindset: love shipping fast, iterating, and moving on without needing tightly defined problems
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience building and deploying ML models at scale or working with agentic AI workflows
- Background from a SaaS product company
- Knowledge of GCP (preferred stack) and API design, observability, or scalability patterns
- TypeScript experience
