River is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of core electrical proprietary components for electric two-wheelers. You will be the technical owner of critical 'touch-and-feel' and safety components including lamps (headlamps, tail lamps, indicators), horns, buzzers, and handlebar switchgear. You will bridge industrial design aesthetics with robust electrical engineering, ensuring every component meets the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include: • Lead end-to-end product development of electrical components (lighting, acoustics, HMI switches) from concept through mass production, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams • Define and author detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and Component Drawings aligned with vehicle-level goals • Manage Tier-1 and Tier-2 vendors overseeing design, development, tool development, PCBA designs, and manufacturing processes for proprietary parts • Conduct rigorous bench testing and vehicle-level validation for functionality and integration; coordinate with product validation teams for EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, durability, and ingress protection testing (IP67/IP65) • Ensure all peripheral components meet AIS regulatory standards for road legal certification • Drive value engineering initiatives to reduce costs while improving component reliability and user experience (tactile feedback, light throw, etc.) Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering • Minimum 4 to 9 years in the automotive industry, specifically focusing on 2-wheeler electrical peripherals • Proven track record of launching proprietary automotive lamps or switchgear into the market • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and PCB design review (Altium) • Deep understanding of LED drivers, switch-matrix logic, electrical schematics, and EMI/EMC practices • Expertise in plastics (ABS/PC), optics (reflectors/light-guides), contact plating, and tactility • Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP, and APQP processes • Hands-on experience with photometry and acoustic testing • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with industrial designers and procurement teams
