Recorded Future is the world's largest intelligence company, serving over 1,900 clients with 1,000+ intelligence professionals. This role is part of the malware analysis and sandbox infrastructure team, responsible for building the systems that power advanced threat detection and analysis capabilities.
You will extend Recorded Future's data processing capabilities to deliver rich malware reports through static and dynamic analysis. The scope is substantial: you'll manage over 10PB of data, run millions of VMs daily, and process terabytes of data hourly. Key responsibilities include:
• Extend data processing pipelines for malware analysis (static and dynamic)
• Build tools and infrastructure to run diverse, large-scale workloads
• Develop web services that enable users to effectively leverage the Sandbox platform
• Build and customize tools for operating systems and hypervisors (Windows, Unix, Android, QEMU) tailored to malware analysis
Team members often specialize in one or more of these areas. You'll work asynchronously within a distributed, multinational team (40+ nationalities represented).
The role values self-driven engineers who contribute ideas, take initiative, and have a track record of shipping high-quality software. You should be comfortable automating repetitive tasks and working independently.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with Go or another strongly typed backend language (Java, C#, C++)
• Linux experience
• Proven track record of building high-quality software (demonstrated through past work, projects, or open-source contributions)
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks
• Capability to work asynchronously in a distributed team

• Postgres
• QEMU
• RFC and protocol implementation
• Malware analysis domain knowledge
