Neko Health is redefining preventative care by making data-driven health insights accessible before symptoms appear. In a single non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and clinical care combine to deliver personalized, actionable insights.
You will join the Engagement pod as a Lead Product Engineer, owning the Neko app across iOS, Android, and web. The Engagement team is responsible for the member-facing app experience, including wearables, notifications, scan screens, and doctor debrief interactions. You'll work in a pod of four to six engineers alongside an Engineering Pod Lead, taking member problems from idea to production.
In your first 6–12 months, you will:
- Ship to production in your first week and own a meaningful part of the app within your first month (native platform, health data, notifications, or clinic screens)
- Ship member-facing features end to end in React Native, with Swift or Kotlin where needed, across both platforms and web
- Build the native platform layer: HealthKit and Health Connect, wearables, push and background work, deep links, biometrics, and the release train from build to staged rollout
- Build the clinic screens: the scan and debrief experiences
- Hold the quality bar with AI tools in your daily loop: crash-free rate, performance, and the details members feel on every screen
You care deeply about the details that make an app feel great—performance, gestures, transitions—and understand that every interaction either deepens member trust or loses it. You work well cross-functionally with product, design, and other teams, translating technical decisions into what they mean for members.
Stack: React, React Native, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, Next.js, Sanity, Vercel (frontend); C#, Node, Cosmos DB (backend); Figma (design); Azure DevOps, Claude Code (tooling).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep experience building mobile apps with real customer usage: proficiency in React Native, with real Swift or Kotlin experience
- Shipped consumer features end to end; solve problems regardless of the tool
- Experience with app store release processes and maintaining crash-free apps
- Daily use of AI coding tools; can demonstrate shipped work using them
- Strong collaboration with product, design, and other teams; translate technical decisions into member impact
PREFERRED:
- On-device health data (HealthKit, Health Connect), wearables, or notifications at scale
- Health, fitness, or behavioral products where engagement made a real difference to people's lives
- Strong eye for motion and animation on mobile
