The company has raised $10M+ from top-tier investors including Paul Graham, SV Angel, Pear VC, and CRV, and is processing ~$50M weekly in transactions with 7-figure ARR.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be the technical leader embedded within customer operations, responsible for end-to-end implementation and scaling of SalesPatriot's platform. Your role combines hands-on engineering with customer leadership and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy onsite to customer locations (Wisconsin, New York, Miami, Los Angeles) during weekdays; regroup at SF HQ on weekends to debrief and continue product development
- Map customer operations across sales, supply chain, executive, and CEO levels to identify growth bottlenecks and operational constraints
- Configure automations within SP Studio tooling to align the platform with customer needs and build trust in the solution
- Own full accountability for customer outcomes, continuously identifying and solving their most pressing problems until SalesPatriot becomes their operating system
- Manage and mentor Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) on your accounts, setting priorities, reviewing work, and enabling them to run implementations independently
- Make independent scoping and trade-off decisions without requiring sign-off
- Ship production code weekly while balancing customer-facing technical leadership
- Navigate relationships with procurement specialists, IT teams, and executive stakeholders
The role requires weekly travel and full-time relocation to San Francisco. The team co-lives in Warsaw and SF Hacker Houses, and co-living is encouraged (though not required).
Requirements:
- Proven track record owning customer-facing technical work with measurable results
- Experience mentoring or managing engineers
- Full-stack engineering capability: TypeScript, at least one frontend framework (React, Svelte, Next, or similar), and SQL (preferably Postgres)
- Ability to set technical direction with customer executives and IT teams, make independent decisions, and push back on misaligned requests
- Strong relationship-building skills across technical and executive stakeholders
- Willingness to travel every week and relocate full-time to San Francisco
- High work ethic and intellectual honesty; low ego and curious mindset
