You will join Engineering Services as a Senior IoT Solutions Engineer, a specialized team that tackles the most complex technical problems that fall outside standard product and support scope. Your core responsibilities include:
- Answering feasibility questions for complex customer setups before deals close, working directly with customers and their technical teams
- Designing and building custom solutions that integrate legacy equipment (PLCs, sensors, 20-year-old CNC machines, etc.) with the Factbird platform
- Solving cross-domain technical problems that span hardware, firmware, cloud, and integration domains
- Documenting solutions and standardizing approaches so knowledge is captured and reusable
- Collaborating with Product, Cloud, Firmware, and Hardware teams in both pre-sales and post-sales contexts
- Empowering colleagues in Sales, Solution Consulting, and Support to handle increasingly technical customer cases
Engineering Services operates as a small expert team focused on increasing documentation, standardization, and internal capability. You will be the person Sales and Support turn to when the answer is "it depends"—and you'll translate that into a clear yes, no, or actionable path forward.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical problem-solving across IoT, industrial automation, data integration, and legacy system connectivity. You will work at the intersection of customer needs, product capabilities, and technical feasibility.
