The Field Enablement team designs and delivers learning experiences that drive performance and business outcomes across employees, pros, and customers. As an Instructional Design Specialist, you will architect engaging learning programs that enable frontline teams to become proficient quickly and deliver high-quality experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end instructional design for complex, high-impact learning programs, managing projects from needs analysis through evaluation while balancing scope, sequencing, and quality across multiple initiatives.
- Design learning ecosystems extending beyond formal training through social, experiential, and digital reinforcement, applying the 70/20/10 model, Action Mapping, and performance consulting techniques to drive measurable behavior change.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate business goals into effective learning strategies, surface performance gaps, and articulate tradeoffs.
- Develop assessments and evaluation plans to measure program effectiveness across Kirkpatrick Levels 1–3, connecting outcomes to business performance.
- Contribute to content governance, peer review, and instructional design standards to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability; maintain and evolve existing programs as products and processes change.
- Use AI tools (Claude, OpenAI) at a builder level to design, develop, and iterate on asynchronous learning content, improving speed and quality.
- Create basic multimedia assets including screen recordings, short-form video, and AI-assisted voiceover content. Full production capability not required.
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or performance consulting, preferably in high-growth tech or call center environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex learning programs and multiple instructional modalities.
- Solid expertise in instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theory, with working knowledge of Action Mapping or performance consulting.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, OpenAI) to build asynchronous learning content; builder-level fluency preferred (active use in design workflow, not just familiarity).
- Strong project management and stakeholder partnership skills with proven ability to independently own projects from needs analysis through evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Engineering, Ops) and communicate design rationale to diverse audiences.
- Learner-first mindset with commitment to continuous improvement, experimentation, and high-quality design standards.
