This is a core technical role within the Infrastructure Engineering team, responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and scaling a mixed environment across physical and virtual computing infrastructure. You will own and advance server and network infrastructure, provide high-level technical support for systems, and drive automated setups. Working collaboratively with senior engineers, you will scale systems while developing and deploying automation solutions, particularly in Python. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving networks, routing protocols, and computing systems in a constantly evolving business environment.
Key responsibilities include managing data centre connectivity and hardware troubleshooting, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches, diagnosing network performance issues, analyzing and resolving hardware failures, monitoring system performance, and providing out-of-business-hours support for infrastructure deployments and critical incidents. You will work as part of a team supporting mission-critical production systems and back-office infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of systems administration, network infrastructure engineering, or related experience
- Solid understanding of data centre connectivity, structured cabling, and TCP/IP networking (IPv4/IPv6, subnetting)
- Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco switches (Catalyst or Nexus series)
- Solid practical knowledge of server hardware, network appliances, and computer internals
- Proven ability to troubleshoot server OS (Linux), enterprise applications, and network infrastructure issues
- Experience diagnosing network performance issues using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, or traceroute
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware failures and performance bottlenecks
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with Git workflow
- Experience with hardware/network monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, SNMP) and performance tuning
- Ability to work weekend and evening shifts and provide out-of-business-hours support
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience deploying, configuring, and monitoring enterprise firewalls and ACLs
- Basic familiarity with enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) or static routing
- Familiarity with enterprise Linux server environments and automated deployment tools
- Practical experience writing Python scripts to automate network administration and infrastructure tasks
