Gorgias is building a unified AI agent platform that enables conversational commerce—turning customer interactions into relationships through intelligent, personalized dialogue across the entire ecommerce journey. The company combines deep product expertise with cutting-edge AI to make shopping feel natural and connected.
The GTM Engineer role sits within the GTM Engineers team, which builds the AI product layer powering Gorgias's go-to-market workflows. You'll own AI agents that automate Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships processes, taking them from manual workflows to reviewed, production agents running on a shared context layer called Cortex.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and improving end-to-end GTM workflows by navigating the context layer, app/service repositories, MCPs, and automation tools
- Designing custom agents and reusable agent skills on Cortex and custom builds
- Owning agents for lead and account work: outbound reply handling, audience/call-list building, enrichment, event follow-up, and referral routing
- Mapping the Sales and Marketing workflow backlog, deciding Agent vs. Automation vs. Manual for each, and delivering reviewable outputs
- Tuning live agents: adjusting prompts and skills, analyzing conversation and performance data, fixing regressions, documenting edge cases
- Debugging broken workflows across Cargo, HubSpot, Customer.io, and other GTM tools to identify and fix root causes
- Connecting agents to systems via APIs and workflows (n8n, Clay, custom code) with centrally managed credentials
- Supporting Sales (BDRs, AEs) and CS teams in adopting agents: learning their workflows, designing flows collaboratively, training them to supervise outputs
- Collaborating with other GTM Engineers to ensure agents run on clean CRM data
You'll work in a company culture that treats AI as a natural extension of work—teams use it daily for research, writing, analysis, coding, and customer experience design. Everyone has access to premium AI tools and an annual L&D budget.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a technical GTM, RevOps, or growth engineering role with production automations you can demonstrate
- Passion for AI; Claude Code, Conductor, or similar AI coding harnesses should be your primary building tool
- Hands-on experience with LLM applications: prompt design, tool/function calling, output quality review; custom agent-building experience is a plus
- Solid SQL and Python or JavaScript; comfortable with REST APIs
- Working knowledge of outbound or engagement tools (Cargo, Dust, Apollo, Lemlist, Instantly, Customer.io, or similar)
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (BigQuery, dbt, Segment, Airbyte, Hightouch) is a plus
- Experience with n8n, Clay, or similar automation platforms is a plus
- Good business judgment: knowing when an agent should draft vs. act
- Ownership mindset: taking workflows from idea to live agent and flagging issues early
- Fluent English; French is a plus for the Paris team
