PSD Citywide is a software company transforming how local, First Nations, and regional governments across North America achieve success through Enterprise Asset Management, maintenance management, and planning solutions. We're seeking a Fullstack Software Developer to join our IT team in a fully remote role based in Ontario.
In this position, you will work within a cross-functional development team to further develop and support our PSD Citywide Enterprise system applications. You will design and develop both backend services and front-end applications, taking product ideas from concept to release. Key responsibilities include:
• Design and develop backend services and front-end applications for our enterprise system
• Write and maintain code in a robust, efficient, and readable manner
• Design and implement new user interfaces/experiences to meet client needs
• Document code and provide methodology for future reference
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate software design, coding, debugging, testing, and refactoring while maintaining high code quality and security standards
• Apply AI-native development practices including prompt engineering and AI agent workflows for effective human-AI collaboration throughout the SDLC
• Test and review code in a timely and professional manner
• Work in an Agile project delivery environment, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operational, and monitoring needs
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle for various projects
• Manage data integrity and quality assurance activities to ensure application stability
• Manage self-directed assignments to implement features and resolve software defects
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to analyze business requirements and develop integrated web applications
• Participate in daily scrums and weekly team sprints
• Recommend and perform software improvements and upgrades
• Assist in developing and maintaining user manuals and guidelines

REQUIREMENTS:
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree/diploma
• 3–10 years of fullstack development experience
• Expertise in web development technologies and frameworks: JavaScript, PHP, SQL, Angular.JS, Symfony, CSS (Sass), Node.js, Git, Linux, PostgreSQL
• Strong SQL skills; ability to create and modify complex stored procedures and functions
• Experience building and scaling user-focused web applications
• Experience in design and development of scalable and secured web services that integrate with other technologies
• Previous experience working with legacy applications
• Experience with source code repositories such as Git
• Strong ability to collaborate and problem-solve
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Solid commitment to quality software development
• Good verbal and written communication and knowledge transfer skills
• Demonstrated experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality and security
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, AI agent workflows, and effective human-AI collaboration
