ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company that has raised $781M in funding with a $22B valuation. The company serves millions of users and thousands of businesses including Deutsche Telekom and Meta, with investors including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth, and Sequoia.
You will own the "produce once, distribute everywhere" workflow for Studio, ElevenLabs' video creation platform powered by the generative graph engine, Flows. This role involves taking finished Studio projects and running them through the dubbing pipeline to produce content in multiple languages and aspect ratios with auto-translated captions. Currently this work is done manually; you'll architect and build the system to automate it.
This is entirely greenfield work. You'll shape the project through written proposals (RFCs), pressure-test data structures with the team lead, and carry the project from first draft to launch. You'll be a strong backend generalist responsible for complex data structures and will need product instincts to determine what's worth building.
ElevenLabs operates with a high-velocity, impact-focused culture emphasizing rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy. The company uses AI across engineering, growth, and operations. There are no traditional job titles; impact is what matters. The team is global and prioritizes talent over location.
Benefits include an annual discretionary stipend for professional development and learning, an annual discretionary stipend for social travel to meet colleagues, annual company offsites in locations like Croatia and Italy, and a monthly co-working stipend if not near a main hub.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong backend generalist who has designed and shipped complex, data-heavy systems end to end
- Comfortable with enterprise-grade concerns such as usage reporting and accounts
- Evidence of product ownership: side projects, open source, or work in a product-facing context
- Has taken projects from inception to launch with little hand-holding
- Bonus: experience with media or video-processing pipelines (helpful, not required)
