Factbird helps manufacturers turn real-time production data into actionable decisions. Since 2016, the company has served over 300 manufacturers across 28 countries, helping them reduce waste, improve uptime, and optimize operations. The team of 80+ is based in Copenhagen and the US.
You'll join the engineering team as a Full Stack Cloud Engineer, operating confidently across the entire stack: React frontend, Rust and Node.js backend, and multi-account AWS infrastructure. The role is genuinely full stack—you'll own features end to end, from concept through shipped, tested, monitored production software. Some positions lean backend (APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure); others lean frontend (customer-facing interfaces). What matters is your ability to work across the stack and take ownership of complete features.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating within a Nix-backed ecosystem for development tooling and build artifacts
- Owning features end to end, from user story to production
- Building and maintaining React frontend features and backend services in TypeScript/Node.js and Rust
- Writing infrastructure as code (AWS CDK) for systems you build
- Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and demos
- Designing systems and data pipelines from scratch
- Mentoring other engineers and authoring RFCs and architecture decisions
- Setting technical standards for the team
You'll work with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, and EKS. The company values pragmatic, get-it-done mindsets, strong instincts for testing and clean design, and the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
The company welcomes applicants eager to relocate to Denmark and can contribute to relocation costs for the right candidate, provided you already have legal right to live and work in Denmark.
Requirements:
- At least three years of professional experience since graduating from a relevant Master's program
- Solid, hands-on full-stack experience: frontend (React or equivalent) and backend (Rust/Node.js or equivalent), even with a natural preference for one side
- Comfort working with AWS or another major cloud provider
- Track record of shipping features independently with strong instincts for testing, code quality, and clean design
- Strong English fluency and ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly to engineers and non-technical audiences
- Experience designing systems from scratch, mentoring engineers, or driving architecture decisions
