VAST Data is building enterprise software infrastructure for the AI era, focused on data platform solutions for capturing, cataloging, refining, and protecting massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training. The Iceland team is developing a next-generation cloud resource management platform that provides a unified API surface for managing infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
You will join the engineering team as a Frontend Developer, building the administrative interface for this cloud resource management platform. This is a highly hands-on role with significant autonomy where you'll own key features end-to-end and influence UI/UX decisions for enterprise cloud management interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining a modern React application with TypeScript for managing cloud resources and infrastructure
- Developing complex, data-heavy interfaces for enterprise-level resource management
- Working with OpenAPI specifications to generate type-safe API clients and integrating with backend services
- Designing and implementing reusable UI components following established design patterns and accessibility standards
- Collaborating with backend engineers to shape API contracts and ensure seamless frontend integration
- Implementing secure authentication flows and session management
- Building responsive, performant interfaces that handle real-time data updates and large datasets
- Writing comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions
- Optimizing build performance and bundle size using modern development tools
- Contributing to the design system and component library
- Participating in code reviews and maintaining high standards for code quality
- Leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and debug issues
You'll work closely with backend engineers and have the opportunity to help define standards for enterprise cloud management interfaces. The role encourages use of modern tooling and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
