As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will combine strong technical expertise with customer-facing skills to drive adoption and success of HappyRobot's AI platform. This is a high-ownership role in a flat, builder-focused organization where you'll work directly with enterprise customers from onboarding through ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers to integrate, implement, and optimize HappyRobot's AI solutions, ensuring maximum value realization
- Develop new features, MVPs, and scalable solutions using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
- Design and implement AI/ML applications, including LLM prompting, voice tuning, and transcriber optimization
- Manage APIs and third-party system integrations to ensure seamless customer functionality
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Iterate on AI solutions based on customer feedback and evolving requirements
- Prioritize and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality
- Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Strong full-stack development experience: React, TypeScript, Node.js
- Hands-on proficiency in Python
- Proven experience building AI/ML applications, including LLM prompting and tuning
- Demonstrated ability to manage APIs and integrate third-party systems
- Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Proven track record prioritizing and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Founder mindset: highly independent, takes ownership, thrives in fast-paced environments
- German language fluency (role is German-speaking)
